
Mr. Gusky concentrates his practice in real estate, maritime, business transactions, corporate law and gaming. His experience includes acquisitions, sales, leasing, financing, maritime transactions, insurance, licensing and surety work on both a national and worldwide basis. In 1990, Mr. Gusky prepared the agreement for the country’s first riverboat gaming development, which opened April 1, 1991 in Davenport, Iowa. Mr Gusky has represented clients in the hotel and maritime industries in the development and operation of their businesses. He has particularly unique experience in commercial licensing matters.
Mr. Gusky is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and its Real Property, Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Sections; the Pennsylvania Bar Association and its Real Property Section; and the American Bar Association and its Gaming Section as well as its Fidelity and Surety Law Committee. Since 1987, Mr. Gusky has been the maritime insurance advisor to the Passenger Vessel Association. He is also an inaugural member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s newly-created Gaming Law Committee.
Mr. Gusky received his B.B.A. in 1961 from the University of Michigan and his J.D. in 1964 from Case Western Reserve University. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, the United States District for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the United States Supreme Court, and various other federal courts.
Mr. Gusky was named as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in 2010.
