As a member of the firm's Commercial and Construction Litigation Group, Mr. Sakoian concentrates his practice in the areas of creditors’ and debtors’ rights, bankruptcy law and commercial and construction litigation.Mr. Sakoian has represented creditors and debtors in and out of the bankruptcy context. He has litigated cases in federal court, state court and before panels of the American Arbitration Association.Mr. Sakoian has also represented creditors and lien holders in connection with various execution proceedings including sheriff sales, mortgage foreclosures, and UCC Article 9 Sales.
Mr. Sakoian received his B.S. in Management Science, Information Systems and International Business as well as his B.S. in French from the Pennsylvania State University in 2004.He received his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2007 where he served as executive editor of the University’s Journal of Law and Commerce.Mr. Sakoian is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute; the American Bar Association and its Business Law and Litigation sections; the Pennsylvania Bar Association; and the Allegheny County Bar Association and its Bankruptcy and Commercial law section as well as its Young Lawyers Division.
Mr. Sakoian is admitted to practice law in all Pennsylvania State Courts and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
