As a member of the firm’s Corporate Practice Group, Mr. Kaminski concentrates in all areas of creditors' and debtors' rights and bankruptcy law, from both a creditor and debtor perspective. He has successfully represented debtors and creditors both inside and outside a bankruptcy setting. He has represented debtors from the inception of a bankruptcy case through successful confirmation and implementation of a plan. Mr. Kaminski has also represented creditors and creditors' committees and successfully either maximized their return, minimized their exposure or obtained the return or sale of their collateral. Through his representation of such diverse entities and interests, Mr. Kaminski has become intimately familiar with legal areas beyond creditors rights and bankruptcy, including corporate formation and operational issues, documentation of the purchase and sale of assets, documentation of loans, and litigation of claims in state and federal courts. His experience involves not only resolving problems as they arise, but also working with clients and, when appropriate, drafting provisions of agreements or taking other steps to prevent problems from arising in the future. Mr. Kaminski is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, American Bar Association’s Business Law and Business Bankruptcy Subcommittee and Allegheny County Bar Association’s Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Sections. Mr Kaminski received his B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh in 1984. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from Duquesne University School of Law in 1988. Mr. Kaminski is admitted to practice law in the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pensylvania.
