A partner with Blumling & Gusky, LLP, Ms. Peters practices in the firm’s Real Estate and Land Use Practice Groups. Ms. Peters represents commercial and industrial clients in zoning, planning and land development matters, as well as sales and leasing. She also represents clients in negotiations and administrative proceedings before municipal governing and zoning boards, authorities and state agencies, including the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection regarding newly adopted infiltration policies and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation regarding issuance of Highway Occupancy Permits. Her experience includes representing builders and developers involved with Section 1983 actions against municipal corporations and authorities.
Prior to attending law school, Leslie was a research analyst for Pennsylvania State Senator David J. Brightbill where she was responsible for the Judiciary, Education and Rules and Executive Nominations Committees activities and related communications with legislative and executive branches.
Ms. Peters is a member of the Allegheny County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, and their Real Property Sections. She received her B.A. from the Pennsylvania State University in 1988 and her J.D. from Widener University School of Law, magna cum laude, in 1995, where she was a member of the Widener Journal of Public Law. She has presented various seminars on land use and development issues, including those confronting big box commercial retailers in Pennsylvania.
