A partner in the firm's Construction and Surety Industry Practice Group, Mr. Klein concentrates his practice in construction, surety and general business law. He has successfully prosecuted and defended multi-party construction claims including delay and inefficiency claims, on behalf of contractors. Mr. Klein has also drafted contracts for owners and contractors for the construction of complex commercial, hotel and public authority development projects.
Mr. Klein is a member of the American Bar Association and its Construction and Surety Section, Forum on the Construction Industry; the Pennsylvania Bar Association and its Construction Section; Allegheny County Bar Association and its Construction Law Committee and Civil Litigation Section.
Mr. Klein received his B.A. from the University of Michigan and his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh where he was selected to represent the University of Pittsburgh at the National Environmental Moot Court Competition. Mr. Klein is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and has appeared before various governmental agencies such as the Board of Claims and the Department of General Services in connection with the prosecution of construction claims against the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
